I wish there were events like this every week. I would love taking pictures more and more. I am going next weekend to Sunset Junction, a street fair. I go every year. I get good street shots and sometimes of the performers. The headliner this year is Stephanie Mills. I have yet to decide if I will wait for her to come on stage since it probably will be late on sunday. We shall see. I probably will just go Saturday. I will decide next weekend

I had a terrific time at this event.  The guys painting faces and bodies did an awesome job.  The photos came out perfect.  Have a look at some samples.

I went last night to this cool place for dinner.  Reasonable prices and fun environment equals great place to eat.  I like to treat myself to sushi sometimes.  It is healthy food if it is prepared right.

I have all of the medical records, wrote a killer cover letter, and am submitting them to insurance company later today.  I expect to have an answer in two or three weeks with some luck.  I also am asking them for more now that I did research and found the doctor can be charged with three total mistakes.

Nothing exciting going on this week at all.  I am probably going to take a trip to long beach or someplace like that.  Still waiting for last of medical records which should arrive in few days.  I am so obsessed about this settlement I guess because I feel like my life was pretty lousy for several months and it was the fault of the quack doctor who owes me.  Anyhow, here is a photo Brandon’s friend took of he and I at the club.

I actually did not take any pictures of Daniel and friends at the party.  Not sure but did not feel like it and they did not really seem into it since it was small group.  But since there were cute gogo dancers and bartenders, I took a few of them.

I have almost all of my medical records, and my file should be complete by the end of this week.  I am then going to take the file to the malpractice insurance company for their review.  I am hopeful that when a physician reviews the bad things that happened to me (due to the drug I was erroneously given), that in the end, the insurance company will offer me some kind of settlement.  According to a friend who had something similar occur but not with a doctor, he thinks the insurance company will be diligent and quick about giving me a settlement.  I sure hope so.  I really can use some extra money.

My life seems to be waiting for this and waiting for that lately.  I guess that is okay with me.  Still nothing new on medical front.  I am slowly recovering but have no news about malpractice suit yet.  I should have my records by end of this week so I can submit them to the insurance company for review.  Again, I hope this turns out in my favor.  Everyone familiar with my case thinks I deserve compensation for the predicament which the doctor caused.  Update:  Got all packages from UPS.  New 4GB thumb drive is helping the laptop run faster.  Yay.

Thank Buddha Jesus or whomever that my apartment is finally without bugs.  The pro guy came yesterday and sprayed.  They also said they will follow up in four weeks to make sure the bugs do not return.  What a relief that this problem is finally solved.  One thing less to worry about.

I am patiently awaiting my landlord to have the exterminator over here to get rid of these silly roaches in my kitchen.  It is pretty damn gross.  It also is a health hazard.  So I called the department of public health to report the issue.  It was promised the exterminator would come today.  I am placing a call to management just to make certain this is rectified.  Update:  No show today but got hold of the management corp and they are coming 10am tomorrow thank god.  And I got call from the actual exterminator…finally.  Now to just solve this medical issue and all will be right in my world.

I am not rich but I can at least afford a quick trip someplace for fun and relaxation.  I am planning on visiting my friend in Seattle.  It has been quite a long time since I have been there.  I understand it is a great city.  Knowing myself, I probably will not want to leave once I get there.  We shall see.  It does rain there most of the year, and I have gotten quite spoiled with the sunshine in Los Angeles.  The only trade-off for this town….empty people.  Ah well. C’est la vie.

Thought it was appropriate to watch this movie again since I am once again getting another blood transfusion.  I am hopeful this is the last time that the stupid doctor error gets in the way of me having a better life.  I am in process of trying to make him pay for his error.  We shall see how that all turns out in a few months.

This went fairly smoothly.  Delete a few folders, upload, reactivate a few plugins.  Done.

Since I changed my hair color thought I would draw a new cartoon.  It is a little grainy but came out okay.

This is a shot of Margaret Cho, the only fun shot I managed to get. The reason was because the woman who coordinated the red carpet was new and had no clue what the hell she was doing. So I was stuck in a corner and got 20 whole bloody shots (usually at this type of event I get 150-200 depending). Anyway I am over it now.

I am awaiting news from the doctor whom I wish to sue.  I think my email to him was well constructed and explained the losses I have suffered due to his mistake. He is checking with his insurance to see how to handle things.  I am hopefully they will tell him to just settle.  I should know in a few days.

Decided it was time to change the hair color.  So yesterday I did the beauty salon thing and bleached and dyed.  I wanted to get all of it blue but the lower portion turned greenish.  I sprayed it with some glitter hairspray to cover it.

I required a second blood transfusion on wednesday because basically my counts were near nothing, meaning almost dead again.  To give everyone the short history, hopefully not to bore you, I have Crohn’s disease, which mainly is a problem where my digestive system is poor.  So I have been going to this doctor (Gastroenterologist) and for a few years he seemed to be helping.  But recently, a few months ago, he thought it was necessary to give me a drug that I have learned is usually only reserved for Leukemia patients!  And this lovely drug , the side effects, it kills all of your red and white blood cells and poisons your bone marrow!  I guess I am an idiot for not doing needed research myself.  But I trusted this dickwad doctor, something I have learned for the future is unwise.  Doctors are now pretty low on my list of trustworthy individuals.  Most really are just out for a profit, and to quote a friend, are sheisters!  So here is a short email excerpt I sent him:

Mercaptopurine causes myelosuppression, suppressing the production of white blood cells and red blood cells. It may be toxic to bone marrow. Weekly blood counts are recommended for patients on mercaptopurine. The patient should stop taking the medication at least temporarily if there is an unexplained, abnormally large drop in white blood cell count, or any other blood count.

The above paragraph states to me pretty clearly that Doctor should not have waited 30 days to test my blood even if 6MP was a drug that might have been appropriate to my condition.  He should have tested it 7 days after beginning the drug, given he was sure I should take it, which again, I disagree with now seeing what the drug actually is and the contraindications.  He claims this was within the Standard of Care for Crohn’s Disease.  However I disagree given the low severity I was experiencing at the time.
