I spent the weekend covering Sunset Junction, a street faire in the silverlake section of LA. It tends to get an artsy crowd. I saw a lot of people I knew. I relaxed for a few hours Saturday and did not cover the performers. Sunday I spent the afternoon with Larry, a long time friend who is visiting from Phoenix. Then I watched Jody Watley. She was very good. Her blond german dancer was hot. Check the pic above. Then after a long wait for Chaka Khan, her staff ‘informed’ the professional photographers that if we took photos, he (the ugly big security man) would break our cameras! Well I was shocked, but after grabbing a few stealth pics, I saw why she did not want photos taken….she was fat and ugly…not to mention bitter. I guess she is broke and needs the few grand they paid her to perform in public. So to those who read this, please do not support Chaka Khan and do not buy her music. The first picture of these samples is the proof. Sorry, but what she and her staff did was unacceptable. And it was illegal to threaten all of us. On a lighter note, I really enjoyed tonight’s comics for a benefit for Trevor Project (thetrevorproject.org) which saves teens from suicides. Some favs were Roseanne and Louie Anderson.

Weekend Start

I relaxed for the end of the week and did not get photos on thurs or friday. Today and tomorrow I need to cover a street fair called Sunset Junction. There are a few celebs I intend on getting for the magazine. Its hot as hell today so I am gonna wait until later this afternoon before heading out. Still thinking a lot about roomie thing. Now he wants a puppy and says it will help him get out of the house. I am just hoping if he gets one that he does not leave it alone for long periods. I am worried it will bark a lot and crap everywhere. Oh well, more motivation to find my own place.

Showgirls


Had a nice time at mickys for the drag show. Will was a guest and had a good time. Today am having some computer problems but am trying to work that out with microsoft. I had to skip the astrology meeting. Oh well.
