I am going later to a metro meeting at headquarters to give some input on their draft of 25 year projected transit plan. I really would like to see the subway extended to santa monica beach before I am dead! Otherwise, there are some successful lines like Orange busway, Gold Line to Pasadena, and the current Red line. I am fond of transit, and wish they had more trains 
I even considered driving a train or bus at one point. Might be interesting right.
