This is the start of the 30th anniversary sample1 sample2 one more I took over 80 frames and liked most of them. Now I just need to get better at removing the backgrounds. I got a little help on the third one from a friend on IRC [...] I went in the afternoon to North Hollywood area along Chandler where a lot of artist lofts are painted on the sides in a very urban landscape. I took one picture while walking to Adam Bouska’s place to be shot for the NO H8 campaign (http://www.noh8campaign.com/) then went to Industry at Numbers. Do not [...] Okay I am happy now Caricature I was sitting in a starbucks before going to LA Valley Pride to volunteer at the Obama booth, and this nice artist drew a portrait of me and handed it to me. One thing that you rarely see in california is an autumn tree with changing leaves such as this. It was nice going to a park and being in nature. Even had one by Niki de Saint Phalle similar to those on display at botanical gardens. It is the one of the cat. I went with my folks to visit the Missouri Botanical Gardens, formerly known as Shaw’s Gardens. You can see all the info at www.mobot.org if you like. I also visited the Saint Louis Zoo. It has some really nice exhibits. I got some great shots of tigers, bears, and others. The website is www.stlzoo.org for [...] This year the street fest was not as fun as I expected. First they decided to charge 20 bucks to get in. That is pretty foolish since it keeps patrons away. Market Days in Chicago charges 5 dollars and is crammed full. I normally would have taken a bunch of pictures but only took about [...] I had a terrific time at this event. The guys painting faces and bodies did an awesome job. The photos came out perfect. Have a look at some samples. Since I changed my hair color thought I would draw a new cartoon. It is a little grainy but came out okay. Decided it was time to change the hair color. So yesterday I did the beauty salon thing and bleached and dyed. I wanted to get all of it blue but the lower portion turned greenish. I sprayed it with some glitter hairspray to cover it. [...] I went yesterday to visit one of our museums which I had not seen. It is called Norton Simon whom is the founder of the collection. Mr. Simon amassed this large collection from money he earned by starting Hunt Foods, McCall Publishing, Canada Dry, Max Factor, and Avis Rental Cars. Very impressive. [...] I think most people in this life are seriously boring and have not stimulus to remind them that life is meant to be lived to the fullest. So occasionally besides the mohawk, I paint my face to see what kind of reactions I get. Its interesting to say the least. Here are some pics. Smell it, fresh, succulent LOL [...] I went last night to an opening of the movie named “Chapter 27″ with Jared Leto. The movie delves into the mind of John Lennon’s assasin. It was very distrurbing. After the show, the director and Jared came to do a Q&A. I was pleased that Jared acknowleged me by saying he was [...] I went with Edna for a day trip to finally see the Getty Villa which is a less publicized museum which JP began actually before the more modern one near Brentwood hills. It was an interesting history lesson, as I have said recently, I find the subject more and more fascinating now that I [...] The sun is out, finally, and I am motivated to go outside.
