This is the start of the 30th anniversary Took a day trip to Orange County. Very relaxing and nice. Went for a visit to the Aqaurium at Waikiki then to the Dole Plantation where you guessed it, they grow pineapples. Pretty much just relaxed today. Nothing planned at all. I did go on a bus tour around the entire island but did not take pictures of that journey. Strangely the city reminds me a lot of Las Vegas I think because of how it is all tourists. [...] Queen Mary Boat Pirate Ship I spent the day with a new friend, whom I did not photograph, for some unknown reason. We explored Long Beach and the area called Belmont Shore. We stopped into a cafe and this very eccentric lady started talking to us. She was totally drunk but a gas [...] I located an interesting park with metal sculptures. Even had one by Niki de Saint Phalle similar to those on display at botanical gardens. It is the one of the cat. I went with my folks to visit the Missouri Botanical Gardens, formerly known as Shaw’s Gardens. You can see all the info at www.mobot.org if you like. I also visited the Saint Louis Zoo. It has some really nice exhibits. I got some great shots of tigers, bears, and others. The website is www.stlzoo.org for [...] Had a really nice day visiting Viktor in Valencia. Enjoyed the ranch animals, the mountains, the dogs, and getting to know him a little. Had steaks grilled for dinner and gave the bones to pups. I would say it was a day that was indicative of country life out of the city. [...] I went for a cool and fun day trip in the OC with my friend Carol. She knows all the good places to take me. I have gone down a few other times over past year. I would not call her the typical Scorpio. Much more quiet than usual ones. First we went to [...] Spent the day at the best beach in southern california. It is clean, no bums, and has hot guys playing sports. Who could ask for better? My mohawk did fall a little after the ocean air was blowing for a while. I did not care. Its a really nice day out with plenty of sunshine. Enjoy the pictures. Spent a day down in long beach and got a few postcard shots. I ran into another photographer who recognized me from my hair, o course. [...] I had a totally wonderful time touring the coast with detailed visits to Laguna Beach and Newport Beach (Balboa area). It was great weather. It was overcast and gloomy in [...] I actually had never visited the Los Angeles Zoo in Griffith Park before. So I took Edna and we spent the afternoon there. It was not quite as extensive as the San Diego Zoo, but still had some nice animal exhibits. 3 Shots of Santa Monica Beach Los Angeles River It was a lovely day yesterday as is expected for the rest of the week. So I went to the closest beach I could find, Santa Monica. If you ignore the homeless people scattered all over, its a very nice area The 3rd Street Promenade [...] I sit at the computer too much as a course of habit.
